Advertising Sales Representative , Electronics

Penton is seeking an Advertising Sales Representative to join the Electronics team in the Irvine, CA office.

• Service and sell existing advertisers and prospective new advertisers for The Electronics Group, including online products, print directories, magazines, electronic newsletters and events associated with each of the brands. 
• Make well-prepared sales calls to new and existing clients
• Attend industry trade shows. 
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with management, co-workers, editorial staff, and customers.

• Electronic industry experience a plus, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred with some formal training in advertising.
• Must have an understanding of the selling process. The ability to understand customer needs and wants and to relate them to the features of the publications.
• Ability to write and speak clearly and effectively. 
• Ability to understand and use market research.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) required.
